FINAL MARKING: PROJECT 3 AND FOLIO

Hi all,

Please upload your project 3 work based on the review you got during the jury session. DO upload your ENTIRE work till Tuesday. Don't forget that your folio consists of 15% marks so make sure that you present your designs is the best possible manner and compose your blogsite.

Also check that your drawings are technically correct showing ALL the doors, windows, openings, level differences, overhead projections (dotted) and clear graphics to indicate solid walls. Check the naming of rooms/spaces in plans and sections and other details like scale, north, section line etc.

Please include all the required drawings and photographs of the model as per the requirements listed in the previous post. That means you need to include SITE ANALYSIS, CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT, CHOSEN ARTIST AND HIS BACKGROUND, CASE STUDIES OF ART GALLERIES/ INSPIRATIONS plus all other requirements. Site analysis should also reflect in your context model showing the nearby buildings, their roof heights, awnings etc.

FINAL SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Hi all,

For tomorrow's submission and final presentation please follow the assignment outline very carefully.

DRAWING REQUIREMENTS

1. Site plan showing the art gallery and its relationship with adjacent buildings and the street. 1: 500 or 1: 1000
This should be supplemented by site analysis and your overall concept.
IN ADDITION PLEASE EXPLAIN YOUR NARRATIVE (SELECTED ARTIST) AND CASE STUDIES AND SHOW YOUR INTERPRETATIONS THROUGH YOUR DRAWINGS, SKETCHES, TEXTS, VIEWS.

2. Floor plans and sections (including the outdoor courtyard). 1: 100
Make sure that the drawings are rendered and poched.

3. One room in plan and section (rendered, showing the quality of light in the room, and with at least one art object in it). 1: 50
This needs to show the details of windows, furniture and should be beautifully presented.

4. Sectional, architectonic model. 1: 100
Materiality, craft and depiction of utmost importance. Site model required for context study.

5. Interior perspective vignettes showing the main sequence of spaces.
These should best explain the quality of spaces in terms of experience.


PRESENTATION DETAILS

We will start the presentations at 2.15 pm. Please start putting up your work as soon as you come to the class. Be prepared with pins, tapes etc. We will follow the same order as in your attendance record/my blogsite (alphabetically).

Each person will get 15 minutes to present. Please design your talk based on the objectives of the project and how you have achieved them. Be concise and clear and specific.
